Nevada State Swimming Championships:
Thank you to everyone who traveled to Carson City in November for State Championships. LVSC had the most qualified swimmers attend in our history, lots of personal bests were swam, tons of memories were made, and we were able to represent Las Vegas swimming in a positive and competitive way!
Frosty Fling Toy Drive:
Thank you to everyone who attended our annual Frosty Fling Meet and donated a new, unwrapped toy! We were able to donate over 70 toys to families in need through the KLUC 98.5 toy drive!
TeamSnap:
Thank you to everyone who has downloaded and started using TeamSnap! We appreciate your patience as we learn the best ways to navigate and utilize this exciting new communication tool! Non- Swimming Achievements and Accomplishments:
LVSC’s goal is to create healthy, well- rounded, creative, and positive swimmers who excel not only in the water but in the community as well. In each newsletter, we hope to highlight swimmers who have been recognized for their achievements outside of the pool. If your swimmer has an accomplishment that you would like highlighted in the next newsletter, please email [email protected]. Examples: academic honor roll, scholarships, citizen or community involvement awards, other athletic or sports awards/ medals/ recognitions.
LVSC Social Media:
Please follow LVSC on Instagram and Facebook for meet results, upcoming event information, USA swimming updates and news, fun swimming facts, and more!
Suggestions/ Questions/ Ideas for the Board:
LVSC is continually working on creating a positive, inclusive, and welcoming team environment and we always encourage our families to become active and involved. If you have any suggestions, questions, or ideas that you would like heard/ discussed at any of our monthly board meetings, please email or speak to any board member. We will address and discuss all inquiries at our regularly scheduled monthly meetings.
Meet Marshals:
USA Swimming and Southern California Swimming require 3 – 4 certified meet marshals at every sanctioned meet. Meet marshals ensure the safety of our swimmers and spectators at all meets. In order to host future meets, it is critical that we have several parents and volunteers who are certified meet marshals and willing to volunteer for one or several sessions. The certification process is quite simple, completely online, and only requires a few hours. Please reach out to [email protected] for more information.
Team Sponsorship:
Own, frequent, or know of a business that might be interested in sponsoring LVSC? We are always looking for local and national businesses to help keep our non- profit running. Please see the following LVSC sponsorship guidelines and details. Please contact Ryan McCarthy at [email protected] for more information or to set up your sponsorship.
